Unlike most other online institutions, which only provide their students with readings and no interaction, SMC provides its courses in a synchronous format - real live lectures in small groups, with direct contact - just like in a traditional brick-and-mortar University. Furthermore, SMC does not charge outrageous fees and gives students utmost flexibility in settling their tuition.
All you need in order to study at SMC is a reliable internet connection. The best experience can be achieved with a standard Laptop, Notebook, or PC. You can also have a great study experience on a Tablet, and even a Smart Phone.
All courses of SMC are structured as real live lectures in a virtual classroom, where students meet with their faculty and obtain the skills and competences first hand.
Each course follows a 8-week calendar. Each week covers one unit (8 units in total). You follow your courses in synchronous cohorts. Each unit is lectured live via Microsoft Teams, facilitated by the faculty of SMC, where the group (cohort) meets to learn the respective skills, and discusses assignments and projects with their fellow students and tutor.
Physical attendance is not required. The distance learning programs offered by SMC are 100% online via our state-of-the-art eLearning system.
